José Alberto Garzón, Acting President of Bancóldex
José Alberto Garzón is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario, with specializations in Commercial, Financial, and Insurance Law, as well as advanced training in Senior Management, Economics, and Business. He has over 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector.
Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Secretary of Bancóldex. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Latin American Export Bank (Bladex) in Panama, the Board of Directors of the Colombian Foreign Trade Trust Company (Fiducóldex), and the Colombian Institute of Corporate Governance. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Segurexpo de Colombia (Cesce Colombia) and President of the Committee on Rediscount Entities and Public Banking at Asobancaria.
His leadership in these roles has been instrumental in achieving strategic objectives and continuously improving corporate governance. Furthermore, he has made a significant impact on the financial services industry through his direction and execution of strategic processes related to the integration and transfer of assets and liabilities in both public entities and financial and insurance institutions, at both local and international levels.
